Eco Retreat Finca Artis Tirma
A peaceful retreat surrounded by the volcanic landscape of southern Fuerteventura.
Eco Retreat Finca Artis Tirma is located approximately 5 km north of Tarajalejo, a small fishing village in the south of Fuerteventura, and around 45 km from the airport.
The 20,000-square-metre estate was conceived and designed by artist Elvira Isasi in 2005.
Situated between two mountains — the protected natural area of Caracol to the east and El Cardón, traditionally considered a sacred mountain, to the west — the finca provides an environment of peace and serenity.
The entire property was designed by Elvira Isasi around a traditional Canarian building and a large central courtyard. Each accommodation is completely self-contained, with its own entrance and private terrace.
Elvira has her workshop at the finca and, together with Heinz, welcomes guests and takes care of the estate with great attention to detail.

Earth, Air, Fire & Water
The original casitas take their names from the natural elements Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Moon and Spiral were added later.
Meditation
Guests can relax in the meditation pyramid and walk through the labyrinth located within the finca.
Geomantic circle
Discover the cosmograms of the geomantic circle created by artist Marko Pogačnik as part of his project “The Healing of the Earth”.
Artis Tirma was created as a place where visitors can slow down, reconnect with nature and experience the island from a peaceful and more conscious perspective.
Eco philosophy
Living in greater harmony with the natural environment is an important part of the Artis Tirma project.
Eco Retreat Artis Tirma works with renewable energy, including wind and solar power.
We recycle whenever possible, including water and waste, and develop projects related to a synergistic garden and the local flora and fauna.
We have also created a small Eco-Book explaining how the property works and the facilities available during your stay. You will find it when you arrive.
We believe in living in harmony with Mother Nature and encourage our guests to follow a few simple recommendations that help reduce our impact on the environment.

Getting Here
Directions from Fuerteventura Airport to Eco Retreat Finca Artis Tirma.
- From Fuerteventura Airport, take the FV-2 towards Morro Jable.
- Continue along the FV-2 and drive past Gran Tarajal and Giniginámar.
- After a few kilometres, you will reach a roundabout with a postman statue in the centre and a petrol station on the left-hand side of the road.
- Turn into the petrol station and continue towards the right.
- Running parallel to the FV-2, you will see a road marked with white stones and a Finca Artis Tirma sign.
- Follow this road through the white gate until you arrive at the finca.
